AFFECT Youth Services was founded on November 1, 2016, after many years of experience within Oregon’s foster care system. The program was created in response to the growing need for placements that combine structure with genuine relational connection.

Mandy Augsburger serves as Executive Director, overseeing administrative operations and program integrity.

Thom Augsburger serves as Program Manager, overseeing daily operations and the physical environment.

Married since 1991, Thom and Mandy have raised their own children, including one through adoption and four through guardianship. Their lived experience informs a deeply relational, trauma-aware approach to care.
